A few years ago I've unfollowed almost everyone on IG, I was saturated with other people's work and was slowly feeling that I had less and less a good grasp on what I wanted to do in my own practice. Now I'm starting to follow people again, I feel I secured a sense of artistic self that is a bit more solid. I also recently decided to stop working for IG and accepted that I didn't have time to post all the time, make reels, comment, etc. I found community elsewhere, in real life and on here !

I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately! In the past months I have found that Instagram has become so saturated that I started feeling digital fatigue/overwhelm (because, IG is only one of the digital channels which we need to interact with everyday in our professional lives)! I have since been on an IG hiatus and it begs the question: is it absolutely necessary to be active on social media to become a successful illustrator? I have been giving a lot of thought, in the past years, to moving toward more analog traditional techniques in my practice, having started from a digital background ..

I only share some works. Maybe half of the illustration I do. Because I want to be called for what I show, not what I do :)
